Whether it's a classic, Tommy's, or infused with something a little extra such as spice, there's no denying the popularity and versatility of the margarita.
A go-to cocktail for many of us, our bar crew can confirm it's a firm favourite among Rocker's diners all year round.
In celebration of International Margarita Day on Saturday, 22nd February, here Tequila Tromba's Co-Founder Jimmy Sherry reveals his margarita making essentials.
1. Start with a high quality spirit
Such as the Tromba Blanco, which is un-aged, very crisp, and very clean.
2. Use fresh ingredients
These are paramount. Don't use concentrated lime juice, take a real lime, squeeze it, pop it in your shaker, and away you go.
3. Keep it balanced
Balance is everything. Even the best cocktail bartenders in the world, their pouring can go off kilter, so be diligent with your measurements.
4. Have fun
My favourite margarita is a Tommy's with Tromba Reposado—it has more tequila so what's not to love! And once you've got that core base of tequila, lime and agave syrup, you can really have fun with it.
Throw in some spice, throw in some extra fruit if you like it sweet—think muddled mango or strawberry—or go for something savoury like apple and basil.
